1st MLG Family Readiness - Reunite, Readjust & Rediscover

The Return and Reunion Workshop provides an opportunity for Spouses of our deployed Marines and Sailors to discuss, share and learn ways to successfully transition through the return and reunion process. Topics covered during this interactive, fun and meaningful workshop include:

Each Regiment and Battalion will schedule the Reunite, Readjust & Rediscover Workshop with Marine Corps Family Team Building 6 - 8 weeks before a homecoming. This will also allow for the spouses of our Marines and Sailors to properly prepare and make all necessary requirements to attend the workshop. If you would like to attend a Return & Reunion Workshop, please contact your Key Volunteer to enquire of the scheduled time/date and location.

MILITARY FAMILY SURVEY

This survey provides Marines and their spouses with an opportunity to tell Marine Headquarters where they think the Headquarters should spend their dollars and what services are most useful and necessary before, during, and after deployment. NEW SESAME STREET DVD KIT AVAILABLE TUESDAY, APRIL 29:

Talk, Listen, Connect:
Deployments, Homecomings, Changes Military OneSource is pleased to announce that we are offering three new deployment support DVD's for military children: The new Sesame Street DVD kit, Talk, Listen, Connect: Deployments, Homecomings, Changes, will be available beginning Tuesday, April 29; Mr. Poe and Friends Discuss Family Reunion After Deployment; and Military Youth Coping with Separation: When Family Members Deploy. Active duty, Guard, Reserve and their family members are eligible for these items.

Since the August, 2006 release of the original Sesame Street DVD kit, Talk, Listen, Connect: Helping Families During Military Deployment, Military OneSource has distributed over 340,000 of the highly acclaimed kits to military families all over the world. Like the original, the new bilingual multimedia outreach kit is designed to support military families with children between the ages of 2 and 5 as they cope with the feelings, challenges, and concerns experienced during different phases of deployment. Each kit includes a copy of the original DVD and new additional video and parent/caregiver materials designed to help children of injured veterans and other returning service members adjust to the changes in their parents.
