Colonel Bruce E. Nickle

Colonel Bruce E. Nickle graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in May 1986 with a B.A. in History. He was commissioned in 1986 and designated a Ground Supply Officer in 1987. Since that time he has held various command and staff billets.
As a Commander, he served as a Platoon Commander, Marine Corps Security Force Company, Charleston SC, Marine Security Battalion, Atlantic.
Inspector-Instructor, I-I Staff, Albany, GA for Detachment 1, Supply Company, 4th Supply Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group. Commander, Combat Service Support Detachment 78 and Commanding Officer, Maintenance Company, Combat Service Support Group 3, 3d Force Service Support Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
As a Lieutenant Colonel, he served as the Commanding Officer, 2d Maintenance Battalion, 2d Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force and as Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, 2d Marine Logistics Group (FW), II Marine Expeditionary Forces (FW) in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
Colonel Nickle's staff assignments include tours as the Customer Service Officer, SASSY Management Unit and Battalion Supply Officer, 2d Supply Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force. The Regimental Supply Officer, 9th Marines, 3d Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. In Hawaii he served as the S-4 Officer, Combat Service Support Group 3, 3d Force Service Support Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force and as the Staff Secretary, Marine Forces Pacific. As a Major and Lieutenant Colonel he performed staff duties in the Installations and Logistics Department, Headquarters Marine Corps and as the Base Supply Officer, Marine Corps Bases, Japan. During his last assignment he was the Ground Equipment Reset Officer, Installations and Logistics Department, Headquarters Marine Corps.
Colonel Nickle is a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University.
