CLB-1 Family Readiness

Dear Families

On behalf of Combat Logistics Battalion-1 (CLB-1) - thank you! We can not express enough our gratitude for the support you give to our Marines and Sailors.

My name is Jamila Earhart, and I am the Family Readiness Officer for CLB-1. I have been a military spouse for 8 years and have experienced many of the obstacles associated with the military lifestyle. I have utilized the tools and resources available to military families to thrive during deployments (single parent periods), PCS moves, overseas duties, and the day to day hurdles we face as military families. It is my honor to be your Family Readiness Officer to help provide you with the tools and resources to make your journey a little easier.

The Family Readiness Program has undergone some major changes within the past year. These changes have been made to better your connection to the command, as well as provide better support to you when needed. My role is to be your point of contact for all official command communication. Our Family Readiness Assistants (a.k.a. Family Readiness Volunteers) still play an integral part in creating the bridge between the families and the unit. Our goal as a team is to give you power through knowledge, encouraging you to become a strong military family that is proactive versus reactive.

Our Marines and Sailors are better able to achieve their mission goals if they are confident that their families are able to be independent when duty calls. One of the greatest benefits to being a military spouse is the camaraderie and community spirit we share. Families take care of each other. I am here to assist you as the Family Readiness Officer through education, support, and communication.

Again, thank you for sharing your Sailor or Marine with us. You have one of the toughest jobs in the military, and we appreciate everything you do to support your loved one.

Warmest and kindest regards,

Jamila Earhart
