Lieutenant Colonel Bruggeman
Commanding Officer
1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company

Dear Family Members of 1st ANGLICO,

Welcome to 1st ANGLICO! I am very happy to have you aboard, and look forward to working with you and your family during your tour with the world’s finest fire support organization. 1st ANGLICO traces its lineage back to World War II, and has been deploying overseas on and off for over sixty years. In case you didn’t know, ANGLICO actually stands for Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, which pretty well describes what we do. Our mission is to provide the Marine Air Ground Task Force Commander with a liaison capability to plan, coordinate, employ and conduct terminal control of fires in support of Joint, Allied, and Coalition forces. This means that we are experts in the area of fire support and that we work with Soldiers and Airmen from our sister services and allied nations. It is a great organization that is doing a lot of very exciting things!

As the Commanding Officer of 1st ANGLICO, I recognize the sacrifices required of Marine and Navy families. In an effort to support and enhance the family life associated with service to our country and the Marine Corps, I have made my Family Readiness Program a priority. Fortunately, our Family Readiness Program has the support of a caring, efficient, and effective volunteer network.

The Family Readiness Program is my official communication link with you while the unit is at home, on a training exercise, or deployed. This network of volunteers is especially important as a means of providing information about resources available in the local area.

The 1st ANGLICO Family Readiness Officer is Missy Harrison. She is the primary point of contact for family readiness matters involving 1st ANGLICO Marines, Sailors, and their familes. Her office number is 760-763-7992. She will be contacting you to welcome you and your family to the unit. You can also browse the 1st ANGLICO website and the offical 1st ANGLICO Facebook page to get a better feel for what the Company has been up to recently.

As we move forward with training excercises and our enduring commitmemt to the war on terror, my wife Mary Beth and I welcome you to 1st ANGLICO and look forward to meeting and getting to know you during your tour with 1st ANGLICO.

Sincerely,
Brian T. Bruggeman
