Lance Cpl. Ron Loehrke, a motor transport operator with Motor Transport Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), felt it was his duty as a U.S. citizen to serve his country. Now at the end of his deployment to Afghanistan, Loehrke, an Ohio native, said this deployment has been one of the best experiences of his life.
