Letter from the FROFriends and Families of 3D Battalion 7TH Marines, I wanted to take a few minutes to say hello and make sure you all are aware of the sources of information available to all of you. The Battalion is moving fast and working hard to prepare for the upcoming deployment. We are adding a parent’s link onto our website to allow all the parents to have a place to go for information that would be helpful for all of you to assist your Marine/Sailor in preparing for deployment. The website address for our Battalion is: www.i-mef.usmc.mil/div.7mar/3bn/ . Here you will find LINKS for parents, single Marine/Sailor checklist, and other resources that become available for the parents of our wonderful Marines and Sailors. We are also working on a 3/7 Facebook page that I will send out all the information for once we have it up and established. Another resource for the parents to obtain information would be the Battalion hotline. The hotline proved to be a wonderful form of communication during the last deployment so we will be using this avenue with this deployment as well. The hotline number is: 1-800-759-7602 option 3. We will begin to update this hotline very soon to ensure the latest information available is out there for all of you. The Mass Communication Tool will be used to communicate important information or official communication to all the families who have been designated by their Marine/Sailor to receive information. This tool allows information to be sent out to all the contacts for the Battalion at one time by email and or phone. You will also receive a good majority of communication from my email as well. Finally we will be sending the newsletter out hard copy during this deployment. The first trial run of this will be with the February newsletter that will be put together this month. I expect to have the newsletter done and hitting the press by the last week of February. In conclusion, I want to make sure you know that I am here and if you should have any questions, please never hesitate to ask. There is no such thing as a stupid question!!!!!!! I wish you all well!!!! Sincerely,
Lori Rogers
