Greetings Marines, Sailors, and families,

On behalf of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Jarosz, and the rest of the Family Readiness Command Team, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Combat Logistics Battalion 5 (CLB-5).

My name is Christine Winicki, your Family Readiness Officer. I am here to ensure that all of our service members and their families receive all the information and referral services that are available here on Camp Pendleton and in our surrounding communities. I will also provide official command communication, readiness and deployment support to every family.

Many educational and recreational programs are offered on Camp Pendleton. I highly recommend:

• L.I.N.K.S. - Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge, and Skills (L.I.N.K.S). This course teaches spouses, parents, teens and Marines themselves all about the traditions and basic information about Marine Corps life such as pay & benefits, housing, educational opportunities and all the ways to enjoy life in Southern California.

• Marine Corps Family Team Building offers a variety of courses to help cope and thrive in the Marines Corps – such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Military Families, The Four Lenses which teaches about personality types, Who Moved My Cheeses, which helps people adjust to change. Here is the link to the class schedule: The CREDO program (Chaplains Religious Enrichment and Development Operation) offers marriage, family and personal retreats to support Marines and their families in their spiritual growth.

• This link will take you to the Family Team Building webpage for class schedules and further information on these programs: http://www.mccscp.com/home/Family-Services/Family_Team_Building.aspx

We are always seeking family members who are interested in becoming a part of the Unit Family Readiness Program or wish to volunteer in support of our Marines and Sailors. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (760) 468-8276 or email by clicking the link listed above.

Again, welcome to the CLB-5 family and I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Respectfully,

Mrs. Christine Winicki
Family Readiness Officer
