Family Readiness Officer:
Jack Schwarzel

The Family Readiness Program of 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion was originally designed to provide communication between the Commanding Officer and each Marine's or Sailor's family. The Family Readiness Officer provides military families with information and referrals to programs and services; a confidential and professional support system for spouses; a family readiness program for families facing deployment of a service member; and morale booster for Marines and their loved ones.

HOW CAN THE FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM HELP YOU?

  • While our Marines are deployed, The Family Readiness Program is the means by which you will receive all official communication from the command.
  • Voice of experience: Your Family Readiness Officer has been trained to skillfully help military families in need. They know the ins and outs of military living and have endless resources to help you in any kind of situation.
  • Information Referral Services: Need a loan? Want to further your education? Looking for a way to get involved with other spouses with young kids? Your Family Readiness Officer with the assisstance of the Family Readiness Assisstants will gladly refer you to the endless resources that are made available to you as a military spouse.
  • Family Readiness: The Family Readiness Program's #1 mission is to enhance family readiness and family support. We create programs, readiness packets, and social events to make deployment time a little easier.
  • A Support System: You are not alone. As military spouses, we are part of a unique community and in a profound way - we are family.
