Corporal Justin D. Hatch

Corporal Justin D. Hatch reported to MCRD San Diego, Ca on 18 September, 2006 for recruit training. Upon successful completion of training he reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, Ca for Marine Combat Training. Upon completion of MCT, Corporal Hatch reported to Field Radio Operator Course, 29 Palms, Ca. Graduating as Field Radio Operator, Cpl Hatch received orders to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion on Camp Schwab, Okinawa Japan, for service as a Field Radio Operator for a Reconnaissance Platoon.


In May 2007, Corporal Hatch reported to Alpha Company 1st Platoon Team 3. During the time he was with Alpha Company 1st Platoon Corporal Hatch completed Jungle Warfare Training, CQB Training, and also Airborne. In April 2008 Corporal Hatch Deployed with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion to Fallujah, Iraq. In June 2008, Cpl Hatch completed a combat parachute insert in an unnamed drop zone in the vicinity of Lake Qadisiyah, Iraq and received his Navy and Marine Corps Parachutist Insignia. In September 2008, Cpl Hatch received his Combat Action Ribbon for his involvement in a fire fight that lasted over an hour in Lake Tartar. Upon returning from Iraq Cpl Hatch was an Assistant Chief Instructor teaching Reconnaissance Marines clandestine communication skills. He received a Certificate of Commendation for his outstanding work.


In May 2009, Corporal Hatch reported to First Reconnaissance Battalion. During his time at First Reconnaissance Battalion Cpl Hatch stepped in as Force Company 2nd Platoons Communication Chief for training at Bridgeport, Ca. Cpl Hatch supported JTAC Operations in El Centro, CA, and also supported Charlie Company for their CAS Training in Lake Havasu, Az.
